President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo sent warm greetings to Muslims in Ghana and around the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival that marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. On April 22, in a tweet, the President praised the Muslim community for their perseverance and discipline throughout the month-long fast, saying they had endured hunger and thirst with fortitude.
Furthermore, President Akufo-Addo prayed for Allah's blessings and peace upon the Muslim community and the nation as a whole, wishing everyone a serene celebration.
Eid ul-Fitr, also known as the "Festival of Breaking Fast," is a time of official receptions and private visits, exchanging gifts, donning new garments, and paying homage to the graves of loved ones.
The President implored Allah to accept the prayers and sacrifices made by Muslims during the holy month, and for His grace, mercy, and peace to continue to shine upon the country.
He ended his message by saying, "May the Almighty Allah accept our worship, bless us all and our beloved nation Ghana, and make it prosperous and resilient."
