
On Thursday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that six countries have declared their interest in hosting the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027.
These countries include Algeria, Botswana, and Egypt, with a joint bid by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania also in contention.
Member Associations have until May 23, 2023, to submit their final bid documents, which include the hosting agreement, host cities agreement, and government guarantees, all duly signed.
The CAF will carry out an inspection of facilities from June 1 to July 15, 2023, before announcing the host country.
